Local & State Business License Information

Any business locating within the city limits of Blue Ridge, McCaysville, or Morganton will require a business license. Any business locating in the unincorporated areas of Fannin County, excluding accommodation services, does not require a business license. For more information on how to obtain a license, contact the Development Authority or the respective city hall numbers below:

– Blue Ridge City Hall: 706-632-2091
– McCaysville City Hall: 706-492-4921
– Morganton City Hall: 706-374-5770

For short-term rentals, please contact the Fannin County Board of Commissioners Office for obtaining a business license. In addition to the license, short-term rentals are responsible for collecting “hotel/motel tax.”
