ABOUT FANNIN COUNTY

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Fannin County is located 90 miles north of Atlanta via I-575 and Highway 515, only 1 ½ hours from midtown Atlanta and 2 hours from Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. The county is on the Tennessee-North Carolina line, 1 ½ hours from Chattanooga and 2 ½ hours from Asheville. The county has three incorporated areas: The City of Blue Ridge – the County Seat, The City of Morganton and the City of McCaysville, which shares a downtown with Copperhill, Tennessee.

With 40% of its land area in the Chattahoochee National Forest (106,000 acres), Georgia Trend Magazine’s April 2010 issue describes the Blue Ridge area as “a refuge of sorts for an assortment of expatriates fleeing the congested cities and big corporations of America. The wide natural expanses of Fannin have proven highly attractive to folks who are absolutely sick of the traffic, crime and taxes of the big city.”

This community experiences all four seasons and offers unique activities for all times of the year.  Explore more about the quality of life in Fannin County.  Living in a place you love makes doing business that much better!
