Description: The Adult Education Instructor provides general instruction to students in both face to face instruction and online instruction through Blackboard preparing for GED test(s), which includes basic academic skills in reading, writing, and math, soft skills, and college entrance exam preparation. Administrates and scores TABE and GED practice tests. The position includes counseling students, prepare student records, and report data. Recruits and promotes the adult education program to the public and private organizations. Must attend and participate in staff development and staff meetings. The Adult Education Instructor is responsible for classroom management of employees and volunteers. Must be proficient in Windows applications (such as Word and Excel), internet, outlook, and job-related software programs. Must be proficient in an online instructional platform.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in education or related field
- Minimum of one (1) year teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an online platform such as Blackboard
Salary/Benefits: $20.00 per hour/ Not to exceed 29 hours per week/No benefits
