Our office manager here at The News Observer is destined to become our next full-time staff writer. But to make this happen we have to find someone to fill her shoes. We’re looking for a jack-of-all-trades in office work, because our next rising star will do a little bit of everything. If you’re the right person, you’ll do daily bank deposits, format stories for the newspaper using Adobe software, answer the phone, greet customers and do data entry for classified ads and insertion orders.
You won’t be bored.
This is a full-time position that comes with a competitive salary, paid vacation and paid holidays, a company-supplemented health insurance plan, and paid life and disability insurance.
But let’s say you’re not interested or ready to take on a full-time position. The News Observer staff is growing and we need a part-time person in the front office. The work will include many of the same duties the office manager carries out, but to a lesser degree. You will work about 24 hours a week.
